
Ugandan hip-hop artiste Eddie Atlas who is currently promoting his new music video “I’m doing me’ across the African continent, is doing a mix tape album "MAKE MUSIC NOT WAR" with Akon’s DJ Benny D. This will be his second music project with Akon’s Konvict music after the release of “One step way” a song he did with UK rapper Sway, Navio, Blu3 and DJ Benny D.
Atlas, who is soon dropping a duet with Luga-flow artiste Rocky Giant, is also having a music project with American rapper Black rob famously known for his hit single "Whoa!".
Black rob (born Robert Ross; June 8, 1968) is a rapper who was formerly signed to Bad Boy Records. Black Rob began associating with the label as early as 1996, appearing on the Bad Boy remix to 112's "Come See Me". He was then featured on several other Bad Boy releases including remixes to Faith Evans's "Love Like This" (1997) and Total's "What About Us" (1998), the single "24 Hou
rs to Live" (1997) from Mase and albums by Puff Daddy & the Bad Boy Family (1997) and The Notorious B.I.G. (1999). He also made two appearances on Cru 1997 album Da Dirty 30, as well as albums by Ol Dirty Bastard, Channel Live, The Madd Rapper, Benzino, Tony Touch, and others. In 2010 he parted from Bad Boy, and signed to independent label Duck Down Records, and is working on a new album titled Game Tested, Streets Approved due to be released July 26, 2011. Black Rob also started his own independent label, Box and One with Jemal Mosley. His first artist off the label will be Ray Diamondz.
Rob has a history of arrests span
ning from his childhood to even after his record label signing and album release. This culminated in him recently being sentenced to seven years in prison in 2006 for failing to show up to court for his sentencing (which was to be 2 – 6 years initially) in a grand larceny charge from 2004, in which he was accused of robbing more than $6,000 worth of jewelry from a hotel room. He was released from prison in May 2010 and did an interview with BET two hours later.
