Rwandan fashion designer and national treasure, Dadmax, seemed to speak for many struggling Kigali fashion designers when he said that "one day, the people of Rwanda will realise that the modelling industry is not as bad as they may think".

According to the fashion guru, the modelling industry in Rwanda has been inert for many years due to a lack of sponsorship and the concerns of parents who think that modelling is not suitable for their children since it never existed during their time.
