CLUB FOOTBALL HEADLINES

Proline Soccer Academy started their England football tour with a 2 – 0 comfortable win against the Ugandan London boys.  Proline boys were not subdued by the below average spring temperatures, they arrived with a bung, when they entertained the Londoners with exquisite football skills. The under 18 boys from Uganda left everyone impressed with their raw football talent and discipline.

Mujib KasuleThis Ugandan Academy lead by Mujib Kasule(left photo), which was launched by England international and Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand last year, will impress a lot of observers at the various clubs being visited in this tour.

After Sunday’s win they are on their way to 2004 FA Cup finalists Millwall on Wednesday 23 April, this will be followed by a visit to the home of the Premier League leader, Manchester united and West Ham united.

To keep promoting our motherland Uganda, London Cranes is urging you to come in big numbers and support these boys.

Congratulation London Cranes for winning the Premier Division Cup and reaching the League Cup final, two days after the division final . Many thanks to all London CranesSupporters in Uganda, China, America and Australia, and all those who made it to the Cup Final on Friday and Semi-Finals on Sunday.

Cranes push for a treble got an extra boost by signing London Simba's superstar Mathis Ndawula.
London Simba’s Superstar Mathias Ndawula joined London Cranes FC in the January transfer window. The player (left photo) has already made a significant impact on Cranes’ push for the title after he scored a hat-trick on his debut to give cranes a glorious 4-0 win against Ryan FC. This is a superb signing for Cranes since it needed clinical finisher for a long time and Mathias (nick named Super Mat) is an excellent goal scorer.

Now the question is where London Simba is heading without its top scorer and in second place from bottom of the Metropolitan league. Simba won last’s summer derby when Cranes throw way a 2 goal, but Cranes didn’t lose its superiority and popularity for young players. With Simba’s team average age now close to 40, it not rocket science to see why it has only won 2 games this season and smart players are leaving.
